| The
Reese Pharmaceutical Company,
formerly Reese Chemical Company, was formed in
1907 by George W. Reese, Sr., a pharmacist, and
began as a small independent pharmacy located in
Cleveland, Ohio. Mr. Reese, recognizing a need
for high quality, over-the-counter pharmaceuticals,
began compounding unique, special medications in
a lab at the back of his pharmacy, making them
available to his customers. Soon, other pharmacists
in the Cleveland area heard of these special medications,
and began ordering them directly from Mr. Reese.
Before long, business increased to the point that
Mr. Reese concentrated his efforts solely on supplying
these unique products to pharmacies throughout
the country. Since that small beginning in 1907,
the Reese Pharmaceutical Company has grown so that
we now offer over 80 different products. |
| During
World Wars I and II, Reese Pharmaceutical supplied
the armed services with
the Dough-Boy Prophylactic Kit that all soldiers
carried as "Standard Issue." Another
of our nationally recognized products at that time
was "Reese's Blu-Tabs," a cold medication
for the treatment of nasal congestion and hay fever.
Mr. Reese's next nationally sold product was a
heart-shaped vitamin and mineral tablet containing
iron and zinc called "Red Hearts" or "Red
Roosters." |
| In
1980, Reese was the first company to market
a maximum strength
extended release weight
control product that contained Phenylpropanolamine
and Caffeine, which we called "Just-One-Per-Day." Next
was our maximum strength "Licide Shampoo," used
for the treatment of head and body lice that was
offered to the public at a price well below the
nationally advertised brands. Presently, our most
popular and most recognized product is "Reese's
Pinworm Treatments," which are sold in both
liquid and caplet form to drug stores throughout
the USA. |
Ever
since that small beginning back in 1907, the
Reese Pharmaceutical
Company has been a family owned business. We
supply the pharmaceutical industry, and ultimately,
the
consuming public, with high quality, unique medications
that are stronger and more effective than either
the name brands or their generic equivalents.
